Paverpol lady

Today I went for my Paverpol workshop and here is what I made.

She is still not completely dry though. I used one of my own coloured fabrics which I wanted to try and not the one that they did in the class. I think the fabric I used was a bit too flimsy for the dark background. So it takes away some of the lovely bright colour of the cloth. I have highlighted the folds with some gold which has improved it a bit. However it was an enjoyable experience. Next time of course I will try and give the doll a bit more shape. I want to make one for the garden for which I probably will use clay to give it a bit more shape. She turned out ok for a first time I guess.

I think she is wonderful! I just adore the fabric you picked and it drapes really nicely. It gives the piece a lot of movement! Well done! I just love it!

Veeeeerrry interesting! Are the doll itself and her hair also PP'd over an armature? I have to try this!

I'm glad you had a chance to try Paverpol, Shashi. I just love it! Your fabric is beautiful and didn't the colors come out nicely. Sometimes it darkens the colors so much they aren't as vibrant as before. But your reds are very bright still. Good work!

No, no, no! The fabric is a TERRIFIC contrast against the darker figure! Shashi, this is LOVELY! I JUST received MY Paverpol from joggles yesterday. Now, having seen YOUR success, I'm REALLY eager to play with it! Are you addicted to Paverpol now? I suspect I will be! Good job! You deserve an A+ in this class! LOVE YOU! Kai

Shashi, I love her fabric and color- the red looks wonderful against her darkness. Isn't it hard to photographic dark colored dolls? I always struggle to get pictures that will show the features clearly.

Anyhoo- your class and first attempt went great! She turned out lovely. Do you like working the paverpal and will you use it again?
