Here is what I bought from Ally Pally. Velvet flowers and leaves. Some Dya na flow dyes. Barbara and Bett's new doll patterns. New in the market some dyes called Quick colours. They are right up my street as you only have to wet silk and dab these dyes on it and microwave to set it. No messing around which is what I like quick and easy. Then some natural silk hankies. I have been busy with a project as well as getting sidetracked into various other chores. I can only show this to you for the moment. I bought myself a couple of new toys so that I can play with them when I am free. She is done at least that is all I am going to do to. I think I can add more things to her but time is getting on and I need to pack and sort things out. Had trouble with her face. As her whole body is painted with acrylics I couldn't use my colour pencils to paint her face which is what I am used to. Today I went for my Paverpol workshop and here is what I made. She is still not completely dry though. I used one of my own coloured fabrics which I wanted to try and not the one that they did in the class. I think the fabric I used was a bit too flimsy for the dark background. Well this is the perch I have made for my fairy. I think I can show this to you.The flower and the leaves on the stem are ready made but the seat is made by using paverpol. I wanted the doll to sit on the stem of the flower but knew it would not be able to support the weight of the doll. So I made a seat and you know me, anything that can be done easily I do it. Not much brainwork required here.

I made the dyes according to well nearly according to the instructions. Made the chemical water first which was a mixture of 1 and a quater tsp of urea plus 1 and half tsp of calogen in 1 litre of warm water. This mixture can be kept for quite a while. She is at last ready. I think I will put some rhine stones on her but otherwise she is done. I couldn't decide on a name for her so had to ask and Judi came up with Coco as a nod to the coconut shell skirt she is wearing. All the decorations were done with apoxy sculpt. At last my doll face bracelet is done. I had started this in India and then couldn't get round to finishing it.But at last I found the clasps so I finished it. Today is my dad's first death anniversary.So the day is tinged with sadness. I couldn't see him before he went and couldn't be there for the funeral either. Well here is my DIP for Wacky Fairy. I needle sculpted her features and then hid the stitches with paperclay over it. Shows how inexperienced I am in doing things with paper clay. I should have sanded the face down a bit more to make it more smooth. Tee...heee... I think her nose is a bit too much on the large side!. I painted the whole doll with gesso and then with acrylic paints. For the face

At last hubby is back from the hospital. He has to have more blood tests as his liver has been affected by the drugs so they want to keep an eye on him. Otherwise he is fine but gets tired quickly. But at least he is out of hospital and on the mend.I am still waiting for my cable to arrive so no sewing done. But my crackle medium arrived so now I can try it on the doll. Well finally after observing my hubby they have started giving him some antibiotics today. At least I am relieved that it is nothing to do with his transplant. They are treating him for lung infection now, so he might have to stay in hospital a bit longer than I thought.Phoned the company about my machine cable. I have to wait for 2 weeks to get it. I miss stitching now as it would have helped

This weekend has been so great for me. Not only did I get a surprise gift and won the gypsy challenge but I also received a beautiful doll from Linda Kay Murphy. Well I think I can now share my gypsy with you all. So here she is. Her name is Apsara which means heavenly being in Indian language.
